From overhead YMIA you plan to conduct a RUNWAY 09 VOR instrument approach and you wish to commence this approach on station passage without entering the holding pattern. Your aircraft is category A. The inbound track which would result in the least deviation necessary from your present track to enable you to commence the outbound descent straightaway when overhead is-

The outbound track for the procedure for a category A aircraft is 281°M. Once you are within the 25nm MSA disk, you are free to leave your original flight planned track as long as you do not descend below the MSA in IMC. If you can get within 30° of 281°M, you can go straight into the procedure without the need for a sector entry. The closest track that is within 30° of 281 is 311°M
