Gday 2 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 3
Hi all,

Just a quick hello from me over in Perth I'm Michael, I'm 24, been flying for a few years now but decided I really need to pull my finger out and get my career goal on track so thats what I'm doing!

Have had Bob's CPL study books for a while but only recently got my head into them after gaining PPL in January. Since then I have got my NVFR rating, aerobatics, tailwheel and very recently CSU & retractable endorsements. I plan to have my CPL by December and have my name down for the instructor rating course starting in January next year. Sat my first exam last week and got 85% for aerodynamics.. Admittedly some silly mistakes that I corrected in my head on my drive home (unfortunately they still don't count ), but thanks to the practice exams I really found the exam quite 'easy'. Meteorology is booked in for July 7 and I'm really looking forward to that one! No sarcasm intended...

Liking the new website, great job guys!

Take it easy

Michael,

Wow, you sure are getting on with it! Congratulations on passing Aerodynamics - it's actually one of the hardest subjects to do well in, especially by home study, so I can't see you having any problems with the others. You don't have to be ashamed to admit that you are looking forward to Met. It's one of my favourite subjects as well... Go Michael go..

Cheers Bob yeah it took me about 3 years from zero hours to PPL because I was sort of blasé about it and while still working full time trying to fit hours in on the weekends and days off. Dodging weather can set you back a little bit as well

Enjoy!

Well I enjoy it, but apparently I'm not good enough at it yet! Did the exam yesterday and failed by one solitary mark. But now I think of it, rather that than passing by one mark, because now I can relearn some stuff (and the KDR tells me it's pretty much the same area I got wrong) and get it all right next time!

Hey,

Sat CMET again today and felt much more confident, got a pass with 80% this time but I think I really let myself down on this one.. Not to worry =) Doing Nav in a couple of weeks, think I'll be right with that one.

Cheers
