ICINGCONDITIONSAIRFRAME (CAR 238)

An aircraft shall not take-off for thepurposeofmaking a flight duringwhich

the aircraftmay fly into knownor expected icing conditions unless the aircraft

is adequately equippedwith either de-icing or anti-icing equipment of the type

andquantities as directed byCASA.

TOUSETHECHART

• obtain thewet and dry bulb temperatures

• enter the chartwith thewet and dry bulb temperatures

• refer to the shading legend (above) appropriate to the intersectionof the

temperature lines

• from the intersection of the temperature lines, obtain the relative humidity

on the curved scale, and the humidity ratio from the vertical scale.
