• the carriageof persons or the carriageof goodswithout a charge for the

carriage beingmade other than the carriage, for thepurposes of trade, of

goods being the property of the pilot, theowner or the hirer of the aircraft;

• the carriageof persons, but not in accordancewith a fixed schedule

between terminals, provided that:

– public noticeof the flight has not beengivenby any form of public

advertisement or announcement; and

– the number of persons on the flight, including theoperating crew,

does not exceed 6; and

– no payment ismade for the services of the operating crew; and

– the persons on the flight, including theoperating crew, shareequally in

the costs of the flight; and

– no payment is required for a person on theflight other than a the cost

sharing payment above;

• the carriageof goods otherwise than for the purposes of trade;

• conversion training for the purpose of endorsement of an additional type

or category of aircraft in a pilot licence; or

• any other activity of a kind substantially similar to any of those specified in

subparagraphs (i) to (vi) (inclusive).

In all aircraft forwhich theCertificateof Airworthiness specifies aminimum

crewof one pilot, a personmay occupy a seat atwhich fully or partially

functioningdual controls are fitted, if the pilot gives adequate instruction to

that person toensure that the controls are not interferedwith in flight and

there is satisfactory communication available at all times between thepilot

and that person.
