An animal must not be carried on an aircraft if carrying the animal wouldbe

likely to affect a person on the aircraft in away thatmay affect adversely the

safety of the aircraft.

In this regulation, animal means anymember of the animal kingdom other

thanman.

CARRIAGEOFFIREARMS (CAR 143)

A person, including a flight crewmember, shall not, exceptwith the

permission of CASA, carry a firearm in, or have a firearm inhis or her

possession in, an aircraft other than an aircraft engaged in charter operations

or regular public transport operations.

DISCHARGEOF FIREARMS INOR FROMANAIRCRAFT (CAR 144)

Aperson, including aflight crewmember, shall not, exceptwith thepermission

inwritingof CASA and in accordancewith such conditions (if any) as are

specified in thepermission, discharge afirearmwhileonboard an aircraft.

CHECKING FUELANDOILS

Thepilot in commandof an aircraft shall ensure that the aircraft isnot flown

unless the aviation fuel, aircraft engine lubricatingoil, aircraft enginepower

augmentationfluid and aircraft hydraulic systemfluidused in connectionwith

the servicingor operationof the aircraft complieswith the specification and

grade requiredor approved for thepurposebyCASA. Thepilot incommandmay

assume that the abovefluids alreadyon the aircraft complywith the required

specification andgrade. All ground fuel stock shall be carefully checked for the

presenceof undissolvedwater before the fuellingoperation is commenced.

Thisprecaution isparticularly importantwhenhandling fuel fromdrum stocks.
